D4D on the Road workshop

On Saturday, January 29th 10AM to 5PM in the Great Hall, Carleton will be hosting the Debating for Democracy on the Road Conference. “D4D on the Road” is a 6-hour training workshop sponsored by Project Pericles that can help leaders and activists discover the power of using stories and shared values to mobilize support, persuasively communicate, and motivate people to act.

The workshop is open to all attendees, although an RSVP on this website by Wednesday, January 26th is required. Academic Civic Engagement is hosting the event, and students from ACE and ACT will be participating in the workshop. In addition to students, faculty, and staff from Carleton, a diverse selection of local high school and community leaders has been invited. A delegation of students from St. Olaf and Macalester will also be attending.

The session will be broken up by breaks, and attendees will have the chance to network and share leadership experiences as part of the training. Lunch will be provided in the Great Hall.
