We spoke to local organizations and governments that directly provides housing services. We found a lot of collaboration among them, as shown by their partnerships in different projects.

• Cannon River Community Land Trust - Builds and maintains homes in the Northfield area using the land-trust model to keep houses at a low price and affordable for low-income and first time homebuyers.

• Faribault Housing and Redevelopment Authority - Manages public housing units in addition to providing other housing programs.

• Northfield Community Action Center (CAC) - Provides a variety of services including a food shelter, clothes closet, crisis intervention, and

• Northfield Housing and Redevelopment Authority - Provides rental housing program and assistance to first time homebuyers and manufactured homes acquisition and repairs.

• Rice County Habit for Humanity - Builds affordable low-income housing.

• Rice County Housing and Redevelopment Authority - Administers Section 8 housing for the county.

• Three Rivers Community Action Center, Inc. - Provides comprehensive social services to Rice County and surrounding 20 counties in Southwestern Minnesota; programs include Head Start, senior services, transportation assistance, housing programs, and many others.
