Analysis of Leadership Giving:
- 3 donors made commitments of $10 million or more
- 16 donors made commitments of $2.5 million or more
- 68 donors made commitments of $1 million or more
- Trustees committed $100 million of the total Campaign goal
- Parents (current and past, excluding trustees) committed $15.6 million of the total Campaign goal
Results:
- $79.2 million was added to the endowment during the six-year Campaign or 14% of the total value of the endowment on June 30, 2010
- $56 million will be realized from outstanding pledges between July 2010 and June 2015. Of that total, $26 million will be added to the endowment.
- 94 new funds for teaching and learning including 3 endowed chairs
- 52 new scholarships funds were added and are being awarded
- Built 2 new residence halls with more than 200 new beds
- 564 new Heywood members were added during the Campaign
- New will provisions and life income gifts created during the Campaign totaled $97.5 million
- Cash to the College is projected to remain at an average of $30 million through 2016
- 90% of the dollars committed were from 3% of the donors
- The average cost of raising a dollar during the Campaign was $.10
Programs:
- The Fiftieth Reunion Program raised a total of $73 million
- The Annual Fund raised a total of $46.4 million, more than 15% of the Campaign total
- Corporate and Foundation Relations raised more than $23 million
- More than $34.8 million in cash was realized from new and existing planned gifts
Participation:
- 19,718 alumni (76%) made gifts to one or more of the Campaign initiatives
- More than 23,000 donors made gifts
- Alumni made 80% of the total commitments to the Campaign
