Reunion gift from Class of 1949 establishes Endowed Fellowships Program

November 30th, 2000
A love of science and education led Marjorie and Charles “Jim” Kade ’36 to create an endowed professorship in the sciences.

September 1st, 2000
Bob ’62 and Carolyn ’63 Nelson were scholarship recipients at Carleton. In 2000, they created a scholarship to help future generations of students attend the College.

September 1st, 2000
S. Eugene Bailey, a longtime member of Carleton's music faculty, established a scholarship program through a provision in his will.

March 1st, 1999
Guest artists from the New York City Ballet visited Carleton in 1999 with funding from the Ward Lucas Lectureship in the Arts.

March 1st, 1999
Carleton has received $10 million from the Starr Foundation of New York to support the first segment of a program that will encourage comparative study of different cultures and enable students to live and work in an increasingly global society.
