Leaving a Legacy

December 1st, 2003

The spring of 2003, Carleton faculty and staff members gathered to celebrate the creation of the Rae Schupack Nathan Endowed Professorship in the Performing Arts. Nathan, a 1970 Carleton graduate who died of cancer in May 2001, left a generous bequest to the college. The professorship was funded with her bequest and memorial gifts from her family and friends. It recognizes “outstanding faculty members whose teaching and service to Carleton helps students discover a passion for and develop their talents in the performing arts.” The first recipient of the chair is dance professor Mary Moore Easter.
