Faculty and Staff Gifts

Whether you've just started a new job at Carleton or are planning your retirement, you are part of the Carleton family.

Faculty and staff make Carleton the exceptional educational institution it is today. We share a strong connection to the school through our daily work with students, parents, alumni, and each other. We nourish and sustain students through our generous gifts of time and expertise, as well as our strong tradition of financial support.

We hope you will join your colleagues who take pride in supporting Carleton’s distinctive work and community. Please consider making a gift to the Annual Fund, the Custodial Scholarship Fund, the Campus Beautification Fund, or a gift in honor or memory of someone special in your life. You can also have your gift automatically deducted from your paycheck.

Every gift counts, no matter the amount. Thank you for your support!

Friends Annual Fund

Every aspect of Carleton life is touched by gifts to the Friends Fund. All of the College's day-to-day needs depend on the generosity of Friends Fund contributions, which also show the breath and depth of support for the College, thereby encouraging foundations and corporations to invest in a quality institution that is widely supported by its closest constituents. To learn more about the Friends Fund, contact Annual Fund director Chris Clark at 800-745-2275.

Custodial Scholarship Fund

In 1993, custodian Pat Flynn—now retired—and her colleagues established the Carleton Custodial Scholarship Fund to provide financial support for students. Their generosity and commitment evolved from the special relationships they developed with Carleton students over the years. Nearly three-quarters of Carleton’s custodial staff proudly earmark a portion of their paychecks to this growing endowed scholarship, which is awarded each year to at least one student.

Campus Beautification Fund

Former staff member Dorothy Obaid and her husband Antonio Obaid, an instructor in Spanish at the College, established the Campus Beautification Fund in 1985 to express their deep appreciation for the inspirational beauty of the Carleton campus. Income from the fund preserves and enhances the Carleton landscape through trees, shrubs, and flowers, long cherished by generations of faculty, staff, students and the Northfield community.

Gifts in Honor or Memory

You can commemorate the life of a special person through a gift to Carleton in honor or in memory of that person. Please be sure to indicate the individual you wish to honor or remember with your gift.
