EXTENDED DINING HALL HOURS

In direct response to student input, dining hall hours have been extended this year for lunch and dinner. This means that lunch is available from 11:30 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. (2:00 p.m. Mon. and Wed.) and the dinner period runs from 4:45 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

However, the dining halls now have staggered schedules so it's important to look at the details. Burton will open 1/2 hour later for lunch than East Dining Hall and 1 hour later for dinner. East is open 1/2 hour later for lunch and Burton is open 1 hour later for dinner.

Facilities and Hours

Dining Services offers food in three different campus locations: the Language and Dining Center, Burton Hall, and Sayles-Hill Campus Center. All of these facilities are open to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

  • East Dining Hall

    East Dining Hall is located on the ground floor of the Language and Dining Center.

  • Burton Dining Hall

    The oldest dining facility at Carleton, located on the lower levels of Burton Hall and Severance Hall.

  • Sayles-Hill Snack Bar

    The Snack Bar is a short order dining venue located in Sayles-Hill Campus Center.
