Pack-Out procedures and order form

Dining Services understands that Carleton College students are on the go, which means that flexibility and convenience are sometimes equal in importance to the food itself. In an effort to meet these needs, a pack-out program has been designed for board students who will not be able to eat at our dining halls due to a schedule conflict because of an authorized school event. Pack-outs provide bulk food for either hot or cold meals for a group of students that each student assembles him/herself.

The following policies have been established for pack-out orders:

· All pack-out and picnics must be requested a minimum of 72 hours in advance. The completed forms should be emailed to catering@carleton.edu or submitted in person. The catering office is Burton 7, next to the dining hall.  

· All pack-outs and picnics must be submitted on the appropriate forms, email, or in person.

· Student names (legibly written) must be turned in at the time the order is placed unless prior authorization is made.

· Each group will need to provide their own coolers, charcoal, cooking and serving utensils. Picnic site locations may be reserved through Campus Activities at x7185.

· Any changes must be submitted no later than 48 hours before your event.

· All cancellations due to weather should be called in by 8 AM the day of your event. Please call x5023 with cancellations.

· Students that are not on a board plan will be charged the appropriate regular meal price.

· Additional arrangements can be made on an as needed basis by contacting Russ Sprandel at catering@carleton.edu or x5023.

· An alternate form of payment must be presented for Student ID numbers that we are unable to process. Two options are a department budget number or an ID number from a person on the 20 meal plan that is willing to donate one of their guest meals.
