ANNUAL REPORTS

In May each year the Dean will request from you a “State of Your Department” year-end report which will be due in July. The Dean will ask you to report on your department’s most noteworthy achievements, and project ahead to particular needs or concerns for the future.

Before writing your report, you are urged to talk with each regular member of the department. Annual reports will be read by the Dean, Associate Deans, and the President.

This sounds like a bigger job than it is. You will already be aware of most of what you want to include. Remember, the Dean appreciates concise prose as much as anyone.
