Facility Change Requests
FACILITY CHANGE REQUESTS
Instructions for submitting facility change requests are typically sent to departments in October along with the College's annual budget instructions. A Facilities representative will be available to assist the requesting department to verify the scope of the request and establish a preliminary budget before the Facilities Department submits the final request to the reviewing committee.
Requests are to be for small renewal projects and are typically of the nature of small area remodeling such as re-configuration of a room, changing of a doorway, adding electrical service, or extending other building utility service to support the installation of a new piece of equipment. Requests for funding support are to be in the range of $3,000 to $50,000. Requests are expected to demonstrate a real need in support of a College or departmental objective.
To request an improvement or to redesign an existing area, complete a Facility Change Request form and send it to Barb Tousignant in the Facilities Office by mid-November. The form must be submitted and approved by the department chair, department head, or program director. For more information about the Facility Change Request process, see the attached document.
The Capital Funding and Priorities Committee (CF&PC) will review the request and project approval will be decided during winter term. You will be notified about the decision with a Status of Facility Change Request Form by the end of winter term. At that time, a project manager will be identified to contact if you have questions. A Facility Change Request submitted after the deadline will be considered individually, based on urgency, cost, and budget.
