Faculty Curricular Planning Committee (FCPC)

FACULTY CURRICULAR PLANNING COMMITTEE (FCPC)

The purpose of the Faculty Curricular Planning Committee is to:

  1. Engage in discussions about long-range college-wide curricular planning, and
  2. Advise the Dean of the College about departmental and interdisciplinary faculty position allocations.

The Committee is chaired by the Dean and includes the five elected faculty members of the ECC and the Associate Dean who sits on the ECC.

As Chair, your interaction with the FCPC will most directly concern purpose 2) above. Whenever you have a faculty position vacated (by retirement or non-reappointment, or whatever), or when you wish to petition to add a tenure-track position, you must submit a proposal to keep or add the position to the Dean for discussion with and advice from the FCPC.
