RADIATION SAFETY

Elisabeth Haase, Manager of Environmental Health and Safety Compliance, is Carleton’s Radiation Safety Officer. The Radiation Safety Officer will conduct safety inspections of all laboratories on campus that have sources of ionizing radiation. These include radioactive isotopes and any devices generating X-rays. All Carleton staff purchasing radioactive isotopes or machines capable of generating X-rays should notify the Radiation Safety Officer before the purchase.
