    • Mellon Reading and Discussion Groups for Fall, 2008

We hope that your summer is off to a good start, though here at the Perlman LTC we are already thinking about fall term. We want to remind you all that there are two faculty/staff reading groups forming for fall term of 2008. One group will read Proust and the Squid: The Story and Science of the Reading Brain, by Maryanne Wolf, with discussion to be facilitated by Fernan Jaramillo and Mike Flynn. Another group will read the Iliad by Homer, with discussion facilitated by Chico Zimmerman. (If all goes well, we will read the Odyssey in the winter term and the Aeneid in the spring). Both reading groups are suitable for beginners and experts of all disciplines (and the undisciplined as well).
