Faculty Handbook 2007

Changes in policies described herein may occur from time to time. Most of them, including changes in Policies and Procedures Concerning Reappointment and Tenure, are approved by the faculty, upon recommendation of the Faculty Affairs Committee, and by the Board of Trustees. Others might result from changes in the law or shifts in benefits costs or providers.

Scott Bierman
Dean of the College

As required by state and federal law, Carleton College does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, status with regard to public assistance, age, or disability in providing employment or in its educational programs and activities.

NOTE: Items marked (Vote) indicate that changes may only be made to these sections by faculty vote.

Items in bold are new or revised since the last printing of the Handbook. Until approval by the Board of Trustees, the current printed Faculty Handbook remains the official document.
