Community Standards
There follow here a number of policies and administrative procedures designed to define and protect the educational, social, and residential nature of the College. Some are based on local, state, and federal laws with which the College complies. The assumption of all of them is that members of the College community will not infringe on the rights of each other and that they will accept the responsibilities all members of the community have as residents of Northfield and the larger society of which Carleton is a part. These policies and procedures, and the values underlying them, have been developed in a continuing process of discussion and consensus by Carleton faculty, staff, and students.
