Request Space in Headley House

WELCOME!

Below is some helpful information regarding the spaces at Headley House, which you may want to read through prior to submitting your online request for space:

Event Space on the first floor:

  • All rooms (living room, dining room, sun room) on the first floor are reserved as one space.
  • First floor space is handicap accessible.
  • The dining room table can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people for a seated dinner or meeting.
  • The table in the North alcove of the living room can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people for a seated dinner or meeting.
  • Existing furniture in the living room can comfortably seat 12-16 people.
  • There are 20 folding chairs available for additional seating.
  • Podiums, easels, etc. should be requested by the hosting department through a Facilities Set-up Form (http://apps.carleton.edu/campus/facilities/assets/SetUpForm.pdf)
  • Audio/Visual needs should be requested by the hosting department through PEPS (http://apps.carleton.edu/campus/peps/).
  • Catering arrangements should be requested by the hosting department through Carleton Dining Services (http://apps.carleton.edu/campus/dining_services/catering/).

When submitting a request for an event on the first floor (meeting, reception, discussion, book signing), some of the information you will be asked to include will be:

  • Day, date and times (starting and ending) of actual event
  • Name of the event
  • Type of event
  • Number of people attending
  • Amount of space needed and/or preferred seating style
  • Will catering/food/set-up be needed (podium, easel, etc.)?

Guest Rooms on the second floor:

  • There are 2 guest rooms on the second floor of Headley House, Room #201 and Room #202.
  • Room #201 is larger, and would be ideal for a guest who might be on campus for a longer stay.
  • Room check-in time is after 2:00 p.m. and check-out time is by 10:00 a.m.
  • Each bedroom has a private bath.
  • The cost for each room is $40/night.

When submitting a request for a guest room, some of the information you will be asked to include will be:

  • On-campus contact person
  • Overnight dates
  • Reason for the stay
  • Guest name(s)
  • Number of guests in the room
  • Department charge number
