Fenyang Senior Middle School will hire Carleton graduates as high school English teachers. The time period of this engagement is from (approx) July 1st, 2011 to June 1st, 2012.

Alums teaching in China will teach 25 periods between Sunday and Friday, with each period being approximately 45 minutes long. The students taught between Monday and Friday will range from ages 16-19, while the students taught on Sunday will range from ages 11-15. Alums also provide other services as requested, including helping Fenyang seniors with college applications.

The salary for this position is 40,000 yuan RMB for the term of the contract. In addition to a salary, teachers will be provided with free housing, a monthly food allowance, and money for supplementary medical and accident insurance. Travel to China is subsidized (half of the cost of the round trip ticket is covered). Free instruction in Chinese is also provided.
