To help you sort through the paperwork, policies and events you need to know about as a new faculty member, we have developed the following checklist. Please note that items on the checklist are required unless otherwise noted. As you work your way through the checklist, please do not hesitate to call us if you have questions. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
Checklist
- Submit official graduate school transcript to Dean's Office
- Sign and return your contract letter
- Complete the Personnel Information form
- Complete the Housing Request form (optional)
- Notify us of any address changes
- Contact your academic technologist about your computing needs
- E-mail telecom@carleton.edu with the date you plan to arrive on campus
- Contact your library liaison about your library needs
- Complete the Biographical Information form
- Faculty starting fall term 2010: Watch for information regarding opening events.
- Begin checking your Carleton e-mail
- Complete the FERPA tutorial
- Call Human Resources at 507-222-7471 to set up an appointment
- Talk to your department chair or department assistant to arrange for your Carleton department and building keys.
- Obtain an employee ID card
- Order cap and gown for opening convocation
- Become familiar with the Dean of the College Web site where you will find ongoing information for all faculty.
