    The Carleton College Department of Chemistry is opening a tenure-track search in any field that complements and broadens our curricular and research offerings. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field is required. The successful candidate will teach introductory chemistry as well as additional advanced courses and upper-level laboratory courses, starting 9/1/2010. The department strongly values candidates who plan to develop an active research program in Chemistry with Carleton undergraduates and are committed to teaching a diverse student body.

    Carleton is a highly selective liberal arts college located in Northfield, Minnesota, 45 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The Chemistry Department typically graduates about 28 majors annually out of an intellectually engaged student body of 1950. Carleton has consistently ranked among the top few liberal arts colleges based on the baccalaureate origins of Chemistry Ph.D.s.
