International Student Program

Website: International Students

Carleton has a rapidly growing population of "international students," who hold non-immigrant visas for the purpose of studying in the United States. In addition to the non-immigrant students, there are also a considerable number of students at Carleton who are either U.S. citizens or permanent residents, but have spent most of their lives abroad, have been educated abroad, or are recent immigrants.

The Director of International Student Programs is available to all international students, whether they are visa or non-visa students, who need assistance with immigration issues, employment authorization, cultural, social and academic adjustment. The office is also responsible for support services, cultural programming throughout the year and the International Student Orientation which addresses issues pertinent to international students at Carleton. The office has an "open-door" policy and all students are welcome to drop in at any time.
