She is author of two groundbreaking books: Gendered Vessels, Women and Ceramics (2000) and Women Potters: Transforming Traditions (2004).

Connole is an artist and Assistant Professor of Art at Carleton College whose ceramic sculpture has been featured in American Craft Magazine, Ceramics Monthly, and numerous national exhibitions. She is the past recipient of a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant, a McKnight Residency Fellowship, and a Jerome Project Grant.
