Involved in health care access issues and human rights since 1989, Dr. Joia Mukherjee is a recognized leader in the field of international public health. In her current role as Medical Director of Partners in Health (PIH) she works to expand health care access in resource-poor settings throughout the world. During her talk, she will discuss the goals of Partners in Health as well as describe her personal experiences working with this organization in Haiti after the Jan 12th earthquake.
