Be a safe renter

Please use caution and common sense when contacting rental agents and arranging to view off-campus properties. The Office of Residential Life and Carleton College do not screen or verify the information in these listings, nor do we endorse any off-campus living arrangements. Students are advised to ask landlords for a copy of a valid inspection report and license to insure the property is safe and meets all local codes, a copy of the Rental License (which assures the apartment is inspected every three years) from the landlord, and to read the Minnesota Attorney General's Office document Landlords and Tenants: Rights and Responsibilities before obtaining housing.
