Express registration
If you know the synonym number (e.g., 03959) or the subject, course and section number (e.g., ENGL 109 01) of each course you wish to register for, use Express Registration.
To use Express Registration to register or add classes, you must know the exact Subject, Course Number and Section Numbers for the classes for which you intend to register or add. Alternatively, you can use a Synonym number that identifies the same information. If you are using Synonyms, enter these synonyms in the column labeled for this purpose. You should also use the drop down lists to indicate the applicable term and whether you are taking the class for credit, auditing it, or are electing a pass/fail option. If the class is full and allows waitlists then you also may choose this option. If the Synonym number is unique across all terms, then the "Term" drop down list entry may be omitted. Similarly, if the "Take For" drop down list is omitted, the system will assume that the class is being taken for credit.
Rather than synonyms, you may enter the Subject using the drop down list and the Course Number and Section Number for your desired classes. As in the Synonym entry, you must use the drop down lists to indicate term and the "Take For" options.
You can intermix Synonyms numbers selections and Subject/Course Number/Section Numbers selections on different rows of the Express Registration table but it is not necessary or useful to enter both in a single row.
When you have entered all the classes for which you intend to register or add, you can click on Submit.
The system will then examine your submitted classes for time conflicts, prerequisites, available seats, etc. If the system returns a completed schedule, reflecting your class selection, then you are successfully enrolled in the classes you selected. If one or more classes fails this examination you will be notified of the classes that have a problem and the nature of the problem. The notification is indicated by a "Failed" message in the Status column, followed by the nature of the failure. However, you will be enrolled in the classes that have no problem. This successful enrollment will also be indicated in the Status column of the form. You may then modify the class selection creating the problem or alter the registered class schedule using the Add/Drop forms on the menu until you are successfully registered for a class schedule that reflects your wishes, institution policy and class availability.
