Carleton College is a residential college; therefore, all students, except those married or having dependent children living with them, must live in College-operated housing and participate in the College dining plan. Unfortunately, there are more students enrolled at Carleton than there is space available in the residence halls/houses. Offers for Northfield Option are limited to the number of students beyond the capacity of the halls/houses.
