Human Resources has coordinated a new employee orientation program that was originally developed by a college task force a few years ago. Much of the work the task force completed is being implemented into this program, which is being supported by Administrative Council.

For supervisors of staff it is important to engage new staff as soon as possible into their jobs while allowing them time to learn the basics. Having in place an orientation program to acclimate new staff to Carleton will assist us in achieving the goal of attracting and retaining the highest quality staff.

To compliment this process, Human Resources will be facilitating a half day new employee orientation presentation to be held within the employee's first year of employment. Each newly hired staff member will receive an invitation to attend the orientation presentation when it is being offered.
