Where are you from?

I’m from Chicago. The west side of the city.

What are a few of your extracurricular activities at Carleton?

I volunteer at Glendale elementary school. Mostly kindergarten classes. I am a varsity diver. A member of the Men of Color Organization.

Song you play (or movie you watch/ or book you read/ etc.) over-and-over? Why?

Anything Beyonce, Luther Vandross, John Legend, India Arie and Sam Cooke. I love all of their music. They take me places I can’t often get to through normal interactions. I don’t make it a habit to reread books unless the movie is coming out for it and I have already read it.

Any special talents (walking the tight-rope, juggling fire, etc.)?

Nothing comes to mind.

What's the one thing you're glad you brought for your first term? Why?

I was glad I brought my copy of Do the Right Thing and The Wiz because it was a piece of home for me. Watching a good movie that my family loves gives me that when I am at Carleton.
