Aman Panda

Yooooooo dudeeeeeeeeeees! My name is Aman Panda and I am a rising sophomore at Carleton. I’m an Indian citizen but I’ve never actually lived in India. I was born in Amman, Jordan and have since lived in Belgium, France, Malaysia, Japan and the Seychelles. I’ve attended international schools all my life so I’ve always been surrounded by diversity. I’m a passionate guitar player (rock, jazz, prog) and football (soccer) fan. I also think ducks are pretty cool.

1. What excites you about being at Carleton?

What excites me about Carleton is the friendly vibes around campus and its liberal arts curriculum. I’m also excited about being able to pursue music and guitar on the side.

2. What is something you wish you had been better prepared for, before arriving at Carleton?

I wish I had been better prepared in managing my time. There is so just much you can do at Carleton, there is just no way you can get to do all of it. Also, classes here are pretty rigorous so there have been a few times when I’ve felt overwhelmed. I wish I had made use of the resources Carleton offers students like the Math Skills Center sooner. The professors here are also very kind and helpful!
