Enrollment Data

This page contains links to a variety of data concerning Carelton's enrollment. These fall into the following three general categories:

The first link below, to Fall Enrollment Summary (IPEDS), provides the data for Carleton's official Fall Enrollment census counts, as reported to the U.S. Department of Education, for each year from 2000-01 to date. These data are broken down into counts by class (Fr, So, Jr, Sr), within class by racial/ethnic background, and within race/ethnic by gender. N.B.: These data are for Fall Terms only, and are available here only from Fall 2000 to date. (Earlier years are available by request from the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment. See also the "Historical" link below.)

The Enrollment Census Report link leads to detailed enrollment data for each term (fall, winter, and spring) of each year, also from year 2000-01 to date. These official Enrollment Census Reports are prepared each term. Among other things, they provide counts for on-campus enrollments, for enrollments in off-campus study programs, and for students on leaves of absence (LOA's), all displayed by class (Fr, So, Jr, Sr) and gender. (Earlier years' Census Reports are available by request from the Office of Institutional Research. See also the "Historical" link below.)

The Historical link leads to detailed on-campus, off-campus, and total enrollment data by year, and by term within each year, for years pre-dating those covered by the Census Reports (immediately above), specifically: for academic years from 1978-79 to date.
