SPSS 16 for Mac
As of Friday, 12 Sept 2008, at about 2:30 pm, SPSS 16 for Mac on all new faculty desktops, in all classrooms and labs stopped functioning correctly, as a result of a problem with the SPSS license server. ITS has been working with SPSS to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, SPSS was not able to find a solution before the end of their workday on Friday, Sept 12. We are hopeful that the situation may be resolved on Monday - please note, however, that we are dependent on the folks at SPSS to help produce a solution that we can implement.
All Windows versions of SPSS, and older Mac versions of SPSS, are not affected by this situation.
We are sorry for the sudden appearance of this issue and will work hard to get it resolved as soon as possible. We understand the need to get SPSS up and running as soon as we can. We will update this information as things develop.
