Electronics Recycling
Electronics can become obsolete at an alarming rate, leaving consumers wondering where and how to dispose of their old computers, televisions, and other equipment--especially items that contain toxic materials unsafe for landfills.
For years ITS has been working with companies for environmentally-appropriate disposal and recycling of college electronics. ITS does not provide recycling services for our users. However...
As a service to the campus and community, ITS has begun organizing electronics recycling drives to reclaim reusable components and safely recycle toxic ones. We've co-sponsored two such drives so far, one in December 2007 and another in March 2008. Both were a resounding success, recycling a total of 35,000 pounds of electronics.

The March 2008 recycling drive collected 15,000 pounds of electronics.
