Moodle 2 goes live!
Moodle 2 goes live today!
We are excited to share that our Moodle will be migrated to Moodle 2 on Monday, July 16th at 8am!
- https://moodle.carleton.edu will be transitioned to a new server running Moodle 2.3 on July 16th.
- It may be inaccessible from 8am to noon on that day.
- Moodle sites will NOT be automatically migrated!
On July 16th, we plan to begin work around 8am and expect Moodle to become available no later than 12 noon on that same day.
Do I have to move my courses?
Only the ones you want to use next academic year. Just like in previous years, course sites are archived at http://moodle-archive.carleton.edu. You will be able to refer to your previous courses in the Moodle Archives, but only need to move the content that you intend to re-use in the next academic year.
What if I need my non-course Moodle site to live on?!?
No problem! You can either backup and restore your course to the new server on your own, or you can complete this form and we will migrate your course for you. For those who wish to move their own sites, we have developed a Backup and Restore screencast that is specific to this migration process and posted it at our Moodle 2 help pages on Carlpedia.
