iPad Learning Community - Winter/Spring 2013
Two new Learning Communities!
Carleton and St. Olaf Colleges are pleased to continue our collaborative project hosted by Carleton’s Information Technology Services and Gould Library, and St. Olaf’s Information & Instructional Technology departments. Both campuses will host an iPad Learning Community and an eText Learning Community throughout the winter and spring terms, including both separate and joint meetings between the faculty participants at each campus.
Faculty and staff from each of the campuses will work together to explore the wide range of capabilities of the iPad with a critical eye towards its use in higher education. Each meeting will have a theme and be have co-conveners , but participants are strongly encouraged to share their own findings in each meeting. We will also have 2 joint meetings with St. Olaf participants when we can share our findings with our colleagues from across the river.
Carleton faculty are always welcome to join the parallel sessions at St. Olaf, if the Carleton schedule does not always work for them.
Carleton faculty participants who do not already have one will be lent an iPad to use for the duration of the program and receive funding to purchase apps.
Inquiries can be directed to Carly Born, cborn@carleton.edu or x7010.
