We will be moving to Moodle 2.6 for the 2014-15 academic year. The new server can be found at https://moodle2014-15.carleton.edu. Courses for the 2014-15 year have already been created on this server and faculty welcome to start preparing for the upcoming year.
Summer 2014 programs should continue to use the 2013-14 server that we've been using this year.
Non-course sites will not be migrated automatically. Please use the Moodle Import Request Form to request Academic Technologies to move your content for you.
Faculty may also use the form to request ATs to move their course materials.
Carleton's Moodle documentation can be found in Carlpedia.
Where can I find Moodle?
- Moodle 2014-15 is available at https://moodle2014-15.carleton.edu.
- Moodle 2013-14 is available at https://moodle2013-14.carleton.edu.
How do I move course materials from a previously taught course site to the one I will be teaching this term?
- You will want to backup the previous course site and then restore it to the new course site for this term. The Moodle archives are available on campus or via the VPN from off campus. We have prepared instructions and screencasts on Carlpedia to walk you through the process.
Where can I learn more about Moodle?
- All Carleton Moodle documentation can be found in Carlpedia. Moodle.org also maintains some limited documentation on their site.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at AT@carleton.edu.
