Network registration
Once you've plugged your computer into the network, or connected it to wireless, and configured it for DHCP, you need to go through a quick registration process before you can use your connection.
To start the registration process, open a web browser and try to connect to any page. You should be redirected to http://registrar.res.carleton.edu/ (you can go directly there if needed)
Your computer will be checked for sever security vulnerabilities and to ensure that your operating system is patched and up to date. You'll also be directed to download and install the college's free ant-virus software. Once your system is secured, you will log in with your username and password to complete the registration of your machine on the corresponding network.
For more information on the registration process, please see the Student Computing Knowledge Base.
