The Cabinet of Wonders: Breathing...

The right side of the Cabinet represents existence, through artifacts and mementoes of life at Carleton: diminutive versions of student ID cards and Northfield maps, a dozen drawers filled with specimens, and whimsical sculptures of an armadillo (a essential element in historic cabinets), Oscar the Gould Library penguin, and a "shell creature" otherwise unknown to science. A portion of this section remembers Nancy Gast Riss through images and objects contributed by her family.
