What's new? See new books and DVDs in Bridge
April 12, 2013We're trying out a new way to make it easier to see what's new in Bridge, the joint catalog of the Carleton and St. Olaf Libraries. You can view a list of new books, sorted by call number/subject area and a list of new DVDs, sorted by title. We'll update these lists at the beginning of each month.

New Archives database available (beta)
October 13, 2011All recorded information on archival records at Carleton now online for the public to search, view and request.
Carleton Faculty & Staff Scholarship Collection
October 12, 2011The open access Carleton Faculty & Staff Scholarship Collection contains a selection of journal articles published by Carleton faculty and staff since 2009. Each article was submitted by the author/s to the Dean of the College for recognition during the annual Faculty & Staff Scholarship Celebration. The collection represents the beginning of what is often referred to as an “institutional repository” or IR, an online archive where colleges and universities collect and showcase digital versions of the work of the faculty, staff, and sometimes students. Carleton Miscellany Now Online
May 25, 2011The English Department and Library are pleased to announce that all issues of the Carleton Miscellany are now available online. The Miscellany was a highly regarded literary magazine published at Carleton from 1960-1980.
Now available: Online access to current issues and the full archive of The New York Review of Books
January 19, 2011The library has just subscribed to the online edition of The New York Review of Books, meaning you can access not only the newest and most recent issues, but every issue back to Volume 1, Issue 1 published February 1, 1963.
Access to the Bibliography of the History of Art to end 3/31/10
March 3, 2010Due to the withdrawal of support by The Getty Research Institute for the Bibliography of the History of Art, online access to the index will end on March 31, 2010.

September 29, 2009To request a book or periodical owned by St. Olaf, just find the item you want in Bridge:
then click on the orange "request" button at the top. Then enter your Carleton ID and password (just like when you log into your e-mail), and be sure to select "Carleton" as both your home college and your pick-up location. The item will be sent over, usually within 24 hours on weekdays, and you will be notified by e-mail when it is ready to pick up.
