Starting Wednesday, June 9, the magazines and journals in our 4th floor Current Periodicals room will be moved downstairs to the 3rd floor and integrated into the existing periodical shelving.

That means that all periodicals will now be in the same place and sorted by call number. It will take some time to get everything reshelved, though, so please talk to someone at the Circulation Desk or the Research/IT Desk if you need help finding a periodical or looking up a call number.

Once the periodicals have all been moved down to the 3rd floor, we will be using the 4th floor space for additional group study areas. We'll be adding all kinds of chairs, sofas, and tables, and even a couple of large-screen monitors for group collaboration. There also will be some smaller changes and movement of furniture elsewhere in the library.
