By Nina Mukherji

Bird x Bird: Artists Make Art for the Birds features works by 21 regionally and nationally known contemporary artists, including Carleton art department faculty members Daniel Bruggeman, David Lefkowitz and Linda Rossi. Each year the artworks are exhibited and auctioned, raising money to benefit environmental organizations.

Common Criminals or Portraits of Dissent? Mug Shots from the Montgomery Bus Boycott 1955-56, is an exhibition that examines photographs of 16 of the approximately 90 protesters arrested in February 1956 as part of the year-long boycott of segregated intrastate bus transportation. The exhibition was developed by Carleton History professor Harry Williams and his students in a seminar on the civil rights movement.
