The Student Research Celebration

November 9, 2015

On October 23rd we held the student research celebration in the Weitz commons.  As always, this is a large event where students show posters that display work that they have done.  Much of the work is from projects of the previous summer.  The science and social science departments are always strongly represented, but in recent years there have been more projects that show work from the humanities.  Both on campus, as well as working abroad or in research groups at large universities, our students are incredibly active and productive.  It is fun to see the well-deserved pride that they feel in their accomplishments.  It also speaks well for our teaching climate to see how much students have gained from these experiences that are guided by faculty mentors.
