Incoming Student Ground Packages

Carleton College cannot assume responsibility for items stolen or damaged during shipment or while in storage. Therefore, make sure all of your items are insured for both delivery and after arrival at the College.

UPS Ground

  • Delivered to College by 11:00 a.m.
  • Processing time needed by Campus Post Office
  • Package ID number (tracking number) will be recorded in Campus Post Office
  • Student will be notified by a blue package pick-up slip placed in their mailbox by 2:00 p.m.
  • Package must be claimed in person with blue pick-up slip at the Campus Post Office
  • Identification and signature required for release

FedEx Ground

  • Delivered to College by 11:00 a.m.
  • Processing time needed by Campus Post Office
  • Package ID number (tracking number) will be recorded in Campus Post Office
  • Student will be notified by a blue package pick-up slip placed in their mailbox by 2:00 p.m.
  • Package must be claimed in person with blue pick-up slip at the Campus Post Office
  • Identification and signature required for release

FedEx Home Delivery

  • Delivered to College by 3:00 p.m.
  • Package ID number (tracking number) will be recorded in Campus Post Office
  • Student will be notified by a blue package pick-up slip placed in their mailbox by 3:30 p.m.
  • Package must be claimed in person with blue pick-up slip at the Campus Post Office
  • Identification and signature required for release

USPS Mail Ground Packages

  • Delivered to College by noon
  • Processing time needed by Campus Post Office
  • Student will be notified by a green pick-up slip placed in their mailbox by 3:30 p.m.
  • Package must be claimed in person with pick-up slip at the Campus Post Office
  • Identification and signature required for release
