Elise has worked in a variety of posts at Carleton over the past twenty years, including roles in College Relations, Residential Life, Stewardship, the Alumni Annual Fund, Admissions, and for the past nine years in the President’s Office.
As Associate Vice President and Chief of Staff, Elise assists the President in preparing for appointments and interfaces with offices and constituencies on and off campus to assist the President in his work.
Elise coordinates the agendas of the senior staff team, Tuesday Group, and leads Board of Trustees planning processes. She handles other projects such as research, job searches, and special initiatives as assigned.
Elise earned her B.A. in History from Carleton and her M.B.A. in Non-profit Management from the University of St. Thomas.

As Assistant to the President and Office Manager, Stephanie helps to oversee the day-to-day activities in the office, as well as facilitates and manages communication to and from the President’s office to a variety of constituents, including trustees, faculty, staff and students. She is also the liaison between the President’s Office and College governance committees, handling memberships on presidentially-appointed committees, overseeing the Governance Mapping project, and maintaining the college governance website.
Stephanie provides support to the Board of Trustees, including the Executive Committee, and coordinates new trustee orientation. She oversees all planning details for trustee meetings, including regular and consent agendas, resolutions, and supporting materials, and manages all trustee data including biographical information, statistics, terms and committee responsibilities. She assists in promoting trustee engagement across the campus community and administers the trustee website and electronic board portal.
Stephanie collaborates with the External Relations Division to develop and implement strategies for Presidential development travel. She coordinates the scheduling of development/donor appointments with trustees, alumni, parents and others.
She also supports special projects as directed by the President or the Associate Vice President/Chief of Staff.

Debra serves as the office administrative assistant and is the contact person for scheduling appointments on the President's calendar. She is the office liaison for Nutting House events. She also coordinates document management, which includes managing mail, filing and electronic filing. She provides administrative support for the President and Associate Vice President and Chief of Staff.
