A personal health and fitness program for Carleton faculty and staff. Our Trainers are available for personal training at $30.00 per hour. The Programs we offer are: 1)Life Balance: Twelve Weeks to a Healthier You This program addresses exercise, nutrition, and weight management. Initial assessment, goal setting and program design are reinforced through a weekly meeting with a trainer. 2)Small Group Fitness Have fun by working out with a partner or in a small group to achieve your fitness goals. Small group fitness provides accountability, motivation, support, and determination that help to endure success. 3)Nutrition: With Understanding comes Control This program focuses on better nutrition and weight management through exercise and diet analysis. We will help you set up a food plan to meet your goals. Regular meetings with your trainer will emphasize and encourage balanced eating for better health. 4)Performance Enhancement Regular exercisers also need variety and challenge to keep them on top of their game. A trainer will help you determine your next set of goals and provide a program to accomplish the challenges, whether you're training for a triathlon or just staying fit. A balanced routine will include aerobics, strength, and flexibility components. 5)Smart Start Fine tune your special needs. If your wellness assessment has indicated areas of health concern that you want to work on then this is the first step for you. Initial consultation will include the evaluation of your fitness levels and determine achievable short term health goals as you address your individual wellness needs. 6)10,000 Steps This daily walking program will add health and balance to your life. Our trainers will help you get started, assess your current fitness levels, provide achievable goals, and teach you how to use a pedometer, which you will need for this program. You can purchase one on your own or from the Rec Center.Club Sports
