Safe Escort Information
Security Services provides an intra-campus walking escort service on a 24 hour basis for Carleton students, faculty and staff.
A safe escort between any two locations on Carleton property will be provided, as well as the area immediately surrounding campus. For a safe escort, please contact Security at x4444.
Between 10:30 pm and 1:30 am when classes are in session, the Safety Van is available for escorts between Sayles-Hill and your residence if you live off-off campus.
If you want a ride from your off-off campus residence to Sayles-Hill, please call Security to arrange for the Safety Van to meet you. If you would like a ride to your off-off campus residence, simply meet the Safety Van at Sayles-Hill.
The Safety Van is intended for the purpose of providing escorts to and from residential areas off campus beyond the area where a walking escort from Security is available. (Exception: rides will be provided between Sayles-Hill and the Rec Center, Goodhue, and Farm/Parr areas.) It will NOT transport individuals to or from business establishments.
Please be prepared to show your Carleton I.D. to the Safety Van driver.
