Ode to Aki II - Nishi

Well, now that the leaves have all been blasted off the trees and lie browning at our feet, I'm already feeling a little nostalgic for autumn. So, to ease the passing of the autumn-that-is-no-more in our hearts, I've compiled some photos from my off-campus study in Japan that capture the essence of the season.

This selection of twelve images comprises the second in a series of photo posts. After all, fall lasts as long in Japan as it does here. Part II of the series presents autumn at locations in the western half of Kyoto--Ninnaji, Nijojo, others--and from my field trip to Miyajima in Hiroshima-ken.
