EndNote

EndNote is a program for managing citations and resources for academic manuscripts. We have a site license for the entire campus to use it, and because many (if not most) professors use it, you should know how to install it and set it up properly.

EndNote installation files are available on the archive, or on the Gould Library website dedicated to EndNote. In addition, direct links to the installation files for EndNote 6 (the version we are currently deploying) are on this site. Note: The following information is taken from the Gould Library website.

However, once EndNote is installed and the appropriate updater run, you are not finished! In order to work with Muse (the Gould Library database), you must install specialized Connection, Filters, and Styles.

Depending on the machine, you may choose either to map these folder locations to the network, where the newest versions are always available, or to install them on the machine directly.

For PCs on the network, mapping is the preferred method, and instructions for it can be found here.

For Macintosh machines, laptops, or other machines without persistent network connections, you should directly install the folders, and instructions for that can be found here.

Once all these steps have been completed, EndNote should be ready to use.
