Updates from Staff at Carleton Committees:

Benefits and Salary Committee (Carol Spessard)

  • Attached is a handout from the Committee.
  • Issues the Committee is looking at:

  • Document salary history on campus—want to be sure non-exempt employees are in President Oden’s 5-10 year plan.
  • If a job classification changes, there is no change in compensation even though the job itself has changed.
  • Review levels of compensation elsewhere within Minnesota. The State of Minnesota compensation scale is the same statewide.

Special Projects and Events (Linda Irrthum reported in Noel Ponder’s absence)

  • April 15-21 Carleton’s Meals-on-Wheels—Noel Ponder will send out more information on this.

Staff Development (Christine Krejci)

  • Scott Bierman could not attend meeting. Will reschedule.
  • Mary Steil is working with Noel Ponder to arrange a Scheduling Services workshop on March 21 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
Web site Development
  • Carolyn Soule reported that the retreat pictures are on the SAC Web site.
  • Linda Luedke has reorganized the events page.

Christine Krejci reported that planning for the April 24th Spring Luncheon, Great Hall, is coming along nicely.
