Elise Rasmussen

Year: 2012

Major: Sociology and Anthropology

Hometown: Golden Valley, MN

Favorite Food: French Fries (curly ones, in particular)

Dream Job: A traveling food critic

Favorite Internship/Job: Nannying for the same family for four years. I became very close with the kids, and it was amazing to watch them grow up.

(Career) Goals: I don’t have one specific career goal yet, but I am fascinated in how the environment impacts public health. I would like to work within the environmental/climate justice realm – possibly from the legal standpoint.

Hobbies/Interests: Ultimate Frisbee, singing, cooking, camping, canoeing, hiking, traveling, music festivals, and, of course, helping fellow peers with the job/internship/fellowship process!

Special Skills: I am the best speed-walker you’ll ever meet (that has had no professional training). Don’t believe me? I’m open to challengers.

When you were 5 years old, you wanted to grow up to be: Disney’s version of Pocahontas. Favorite Class at Carleton: Intro to Geology
