Politics’ people problem and YOU

Aren’t we all lost? The back-up plan.
After college – well, then what? Then, nothing; then, anything. There is nothing we’re “supposed” to do next.
Design in Academia: who is our audience?
The liberal arts education is incredibly adept at teaching students how to dissect, analyze, and understand complex systems and structures. Design at its heart is the other part of that process.
Breaking up with Carleton, temporarily
You are breaking up with Carleton when you leave. You know you can't stay away for long - I've left that girl so many times before - but for the time being it feels cathartic. It feels free. You no longer owe this campus anything.
On leaving winter and banana soft serve
Put a couple of frozen (really frozen) bananas in a blender or food processor with a bit of soy or almond milk. Blend, and keep on blending. After a few minutes the bananas take on the consistency of soft serve. I am not exaggerating this at all.
Are we learning? Evolving forms of violence
Some of these deaths may have been natural, unexpected, anticipated, many unreported, but how many of them were due to injustice? How many of them could have been prevented?
