Despite several phenomenal individual performances and endless enthusiasm from Knights fans, the Carleton men’s basketball team was unable to defeat National No. 1 in Friday’s game against St. Thomas.
Despite wins by Anne Lombardi ‘14 in both singles and doubles, the Carleton College women’s tennis team found itself on the wrong end of a 5-4 decision, falling to St. Catherine University. The result drops the Knights out of a first-place tie in the MIAC standings.
One of the most explosive players in the league, sophomore Skylar Tsutsui ‘15, was a repeat selection when the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its season-ending basketball award winners on Wednesday.
Alex Chin’s ‘13 record remains unblemished this season after notching victories once again in both singles and doubles play. His performances, along with the return of sophomore Paul Elbow to the lineup, guided the Carleton College men’s tennis team to an 8-1 decision over Macalester College.
With less than a week to go before the MIAC Indoor Championships, the Carleton College men’s track and field team seems to be peaking at the right time.
Maybe they are just too young to know better, but a quartet of rookies combined to break the Carleton College women’s track and field record in the 4x200-meter relay during the Ole Open Qualifier, the final tune up to next week’s MIAC Indoor Championships.
